Dr. Rania A. Mekary is a distinguished academic leader and researcher with over 15 years of expertise in biostatistics, epidemiology, and real-world evidence (RWE) generation. She currently serves as Professor of Epidemiology, Vice Chair of Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR), and Program Director at MCPHS University. Her work focuses on designing and leading observational and non-interventional studies, leveraging diverse real-world data sources including EHRs, claims, and registries to generate impactful clinical and regulatory insights. Dr. Mekary has authored over 160 peer-reviewed publications, including contributions to high-impact journals such as The Lancet Oncology and Nature Communications. She is widely recognized for co-developing the isotemporal substitution model. An accomplished mentor and educator, she has guided numerous graduate students and trainees toward successful research careers. Her professional focus includes integrating advanced analytics and AI into epidemiologic research and advancing translational science through interdisciplinary collaboration.
