Prof. Dr. Esma R. Isenovic is an internationally recognized leader in molecular biology, endocrinology, and cardiometabolic research, with a distinguished career spanning Europe, the United States, and Asia. She is affiliated with the
VINČA Institute of Nuclear Sciences - National Institute of the Republic of Serbia, University of Belgrade, Department of Radiobiology and Molecular Genetics, has led major research programs at the University of Belgrade. Her work focuses on hormonal regulation, oxidative stress, and molecular mechanisms underlying diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic disorders.

Ranked among the top 2% of scientists globally (Stanford/Elsevier) and with over 10,000 citations and an H-index of 48, she is widely acknowledged for her impactful contributions to translational medicine. She has secured numerous competitive grants, including NIH and European collaborations, and has served as principal investigator on multiple large-scale projects.

Prof. Isenovic is an active editor and reviewer for leading international journals and has contributed extensively to scientific literature, including books and high-impact publications. Her global academic leadership, mentorship, and commitment to innovation continue to shape advances in precision medicine and cardiometabolic health.

Prof. Isenovic is a faculty member at University of Belgrade. She conducts this training program in his personal capacity and not as a representative of, or on behalf of, University of Belgrade.
