Innovation in Clinical Care Award

American College of Rheumatology

The Innovation in Clinical Care Award is awarded to a community rheumatologist who has significantly advanced the practice of rheumatology though novel clinical initiatives. This may be accomplished through innovation in clinical practice design or quality, development of cutting-edge methods to improve health equity in rheumatology, cost savings initiatives, creative approaches in mentoring in community practice, or other innovations that improve the care of patients with rheumatic disease and/or advance the rheumatology subspecialty.

Award Terms and Funding: A one-time, merit-based award and the recipient will receive a $3,000 cash award.

Application Requirements:
4 documents total:

  • 1 letter of nomination from an ACR member
  • 2 letters of support from additional ACR members
  • Current CV for the nominee

Application Evaluation Criteria: Applicants are evaluated on practice or clinical excellence and advocacy to advance rheumatology and patient care.

All Membership and Awards Committee recommendations are presented to the ACR Board of Directors for final approval and winners will be announced after the August board meeting.
