Each year the makers of TYLENOL® award annual scholarships to well deserving students pursuing careers in healthcare. 30+ years later, we’re proud to continue a tradition that supports those dedicated to a lifetime of caring for others.
TYLENOL® is proud to award 10 students with $10,000 scholarships and 25 students with $5,000 scholarships.
1. 🎓 Enrollment in a Health-Related Degree Program
Strong applicants are:
Enrolled in or accepted to graduate or undergraduate programs in:
Medicine (MD, DO)
Nursing (BSN, MSN, DNP)
Public Health
Pharmacy
Physician Assistant Studies
Dentistry
Mental Health (e.g., PsyD, clinical psychology)
Programs must be accredited and based in the U.S. or Puerto Rico
✅ Success Predictor: You are actively enrolled in a recognized healthcare education program.
2. 🌟 Academic Excellence
Minimum GPA is not always published, but most winners have 3.5+ GPAs
Applicants often:
Hold academic honors or memberships (e.g., Dean’s List, Phi Beta Kappa)
Show strong MCAT/GRE scores if applicable
✅ Success Predictor: You demonstrate strong academic performance backed by transcripts and accolades.
3. ❤️ Demonstrated Leadership & Community Involvement
Past recipients often:
Volunteer in clinics, shelters, or public health settings
Serve in student government or health advocacy groups
Participate in global health trips, Red Cross, or local outreach
Leadership roles or founding health initiatives are a plus

4. 📝 Strong Personal Essay
The essay prompt usually focuses on:
Your career goals in healthcare
Why you chose your health-related field
How you plan to impact patients or the healthcare system
Obstacles you’ve overcome

5. 💵 Financial Need (Optional but Beneficial)
While not strictly need-based, demonstrating:
Financial need or hardships (e.g., first-gen college student, debt burden)
