Techniques You Will Learn

Participants will acquire fundamental and advanced skills in Minimal Access Therapy. The fellowship covers:

Core concepts and practical skills needed for Minimal Access Therapy.
Pre-module reading materials, including key articles or guidelines, will be provided for a solid foundation.
Post-module questionnaires to consolidate the knowledge gained in each session.

Modules

The fellowship consists of six modules, each lasting 45 minutes. The modules cover both theoretical knowledge and practical techniques in invasive surgery. A final Multiple Choice Questions(MCQ) exam, approximately 30 minutes, would be conducted on the six modules at the end of the fellowship.

This module delves into the foundational principles and advanced strategies in laparoscopic surgery, aiming to deepen participants' understanding of the field.

Module 2: Principles and Strategies in Hysteroscopic Surgery
Focuses on building knowledge and skills specific to the core principles and techniques in advanced hysteroscopic surgery.

Module 3: Laparoscopic Suturing and Knotting – Tips and Tricks
Covers various suturing methods and knotting techniques crucial for laparoscopic procedures, providing practical tips to improve surgical efficiency.

Module 4: Managing Complications in Laparoscopic Surgery
Discusses common complications encountered during laparoscopic surgery, such as entry risks and surgical challenges, along with preventive and management strategies.

Module 5: Managing Complications in Hysteroscopic Surgery
Explores the complications associated with hysteroscopic procedures, focusing on prevention and effective management techniques.

Module 6: Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy for Benign Gynaecological Diseases – A Stepwise Approach
Provides a detailed overview of the stepwise techniques and principles for performing a total laparoscopic hysterectomy in cases of benign gynaecological conditions.

This program allows Merit Applications. This program allows merit-based applications for virtual and onsite clinical and research programs. If you are successfully awarded under this category, Trialect or the host mentor will cover the tuition fee only. All applications will be evaluated based on merit. Due to the high level of competition, the chances of being selected under the merit category are quite limited.

Now the ball is mine, to practice mainly but also to inspire others to join this great superspeciality in Gynaecology. From the first email I received on the 13th, October 2024 to the 6th, February 2025 I have been in touch with Dr. Mohamed Hosni, my mentor and teacher, in this short , intense and intriguing journey - receiving study materials, scheduling sessions and having planned online learning sessions; I thank Dr.Mohamed for sharing with me unreservedly the science and the art of laparoscopy and hysteroscopy, the Minimal Access Surgical Skills in Gynaecological Surgery and for encouraging me to read widely. This training is undertaken by mostly practicing doctors and therefore there tends to be a competition for time with their respective units of practice. I am grateful to my mentor in this regard as he involved me so much in the scheduling of learning sessions and this helped me also to fulfill the competing demands at the hospital where I practice from..
