• Cranial & Intracranial Microsurgery: Exposure to a wide range of craniotomies and intracranial tumor procedures including skull base lesions performed with advanced technologies such as intraoperative MRI, neuronavigation, tractography, and continuous neurophysiological monitoring to enhance safety and precision.

• Spine & Spinal Cord Surgery: Training in microsurgical management of spinal and spinal cord tumors, as well as complex spine procedures involving decompression, stabilization, minimally invasive approaches, and craniovertebral junction techniques.

Curriculum

Skull Base & Cranial Microsurgery Foundations

Orientation to departmental workflow, surgical planning, and imaging (MRI, CT, tractography).
Observation of skull base and CPA tumor surgeries, including acoustic neuromas and complex meningiomas.
Introduction to microsurgical corridors, cranial nerve preservation, and endoscope-assisted techniques.

Intracranial Tumors, Functional Preservation & Neurovascular Surgery

Exposure to intracranial tumor resections performed with intraoperative MRI, neuronavigation, and neuro-monitoring.
Observation of microvascular decompression for trigeminal neuralgia and hemifacial spasm.
Participation in case discussions, preoperative conferences, and operative video reviews.

Spine & Spinal Cord Tumor Surgery

Observation of microsurgical removal of intramedullary and extramedullary spinal tumors.
Exposure to complex spine procedures, including decompression, stabilization, and minimally invasive techniques.
Introduction to intraoperative neurophysiology for spinal cord protection.
