Prof. Roy G. Beran AM, MD, MBBS, FRACP, FRCP(Edin), FAAN is a distinguished neurologist, accredited sleep physician, and leading authority in medico-legal and public health matters. Over a career spanning more than four decades, he served in direct clinical practice, pioneering clinical research and trials within private neurological settings, and contributing extensively to epilepsy, concussion, stroke, and neuroepidemiology literature. He has published over 400 scientific papers and book chapters, presented at more than 450 international conferences, and edited 17 books. Prof. Beran has held prominent academic appointments, including Conjoint Professor at the University of New South Wales and roles at Griffith and Western Sydney Universities, and has served in leadership positions with the World Association for Medical Law and the Australasian College of Legal Medicine.
