The Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy (DDEA) invites applications for six Visiting Researcher Grants.
Applications can be in any research field within diabetes, metabolism or endocrinology.
These grants include salary costs, travel and accommodation expenses for international senior researchers who visit research Institutions in Denmark during 2027 and 2028 (up to a maximum of DKK 400,000 in total). These visits aim to strengthen international research exchange, foster new ideas, and build lasting partnerships across borders.
Deadline for application is 18 August 2026 at 23:59 CET with expected date of reply 26 November 2026.
Funding Terms
We will cover individual expenses, including salary, travel and accommodation expenses up to a maximum of DKK 400,000. The grant will be paid to the Danish host institution, which will cover all expenses (incl. salary and travel) related to your stay(s) in Denmark. Specific funding terms will be outlined in the grant notification letter.
Please note that we do not cover overhead or operating expenses.
Employment
At the time of the grant, you must be employed at a university outside Denmark. DDEA will allocate the grant to the Danish host institution but will have no influence on the arrangement between the host institution and the university you are affiliated to.
Commitment to DDEA
