Asian Pacific Society of Respirology

Purpose

To promote the research activities of APSR assemblies

Project duration

Two years

Requirements

One interim report required, plus a final report of the results within 12 months of the project’s completion.

Research team size

At least four APSR assembly members from two or more en bloc societies and from two or more countries/regions in the Asia-Pacific region.

Funds availability

US$50,000 per year maximum (US$100,000 maximum for the 2-year project)

Scoring Criteria

The following weighting will be used to evaluate the application.

  • Purpose of the research (10%)
  • Background and necessity of the research (20%)
  • Methodology of the research (30%)
  • Novelty of the research (20%)
  • Ability to perform the research (20%)

All applications which meet criteria will be evaluated by the APSR Research Committee and the most suitable one, if any, will be passed to the APSR Executive Committee for approval.

The Principal Investigator of the project team must be an applicant.
Applicants who apply for other APSR Research Grants are ineligible to apply for the Multi-Society Research Project in the same calendar year.
Recipients of other APSR Research Grants are ineligible to apply for additional APSR funds until the funded project is completed, and the final project reports are submitted.
