Professor Jiwu Chen, MD. Director, Department of Sports Medicine, Shanghai General Hospital. Dr. Chen is a highly distinguished orthopedic surgeon and a pioneer in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine in China. He presently holds the position of Chairman of the Shanghai Sports Medicine Association, Member of the Upper Extremity Committee, Shoulder Committee, and Hip Committee of the International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine (ISAKOS), and is a member of both the International Hip Arthroscopy Society (ISHA) and the European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery and Arthroscopy (ESSKA). With over three decades of clinical practice, his workflow seamlessly integrates high-volume precision surgeries (500+ cases annually) with comprehensive, systematic athletic rehabilitation to restore optimal joint kinetics and improve patient quality of life.
Professor Luning Sun, MD. Executive Director, Department of Sports Medicine, Shanghai General Hospital. Dr.Sun is a distinguished orthopedic surgeon and a leading figure in sports medicine in China, renowned for his clinical expertise in managing complex shoulder and knee joint injuries. His practice is dedicated to treating conditions such as ACL injuries, patellar dislocation, rotator cuff tears, shoulder dislocation, and frozen shoulder. He was among the first to perform several advanced procedures, including the reverse total shoulder arthroplasty, anatomical single-bundle ACL reconstruction using a 6-strand hamstring autograft, and the double-bundle MPFL reconstruction for patellar dislocation.
Professor Cheng Hui, MD. Leading Physician, Department of Sports Medicine, Shanghai General Hospital. Dr.Cheng is a renowned hip surgeon in China. He serves as a member of the Hip Preservation Group under the Committee of Repair and Reconstruction, Chinese Association of Rehabilitation Medicine, and as a member of the Hip Committee, Chinese Sports Medicine Association. He specializes in conservative and surgical treatment of hip joint disorders in both adults and children, including Hip preservation surgery such as hip arthroscopy, as well as Periacetabular osteotomy (PAO) and Femoral derotation osteotomy.
You will be able to observe our arthroscopic procedures of the shoulder, hip, knee and ankle, as well as participation in our outpatient and follow-up tasks.
