About MDC
Muscular Dystrophy Canada (MDC) is a national, non-profit organization whose mission is to enhance the lives of those impacted with neuromuscular disorders by continually working to provide ongoing support and resources while relentlessly searching for cures through well-funded research. MDC works to support individuals affected by neuromuscular disorders in the “here and now” though our programs and services outside of the traditional circle of care. These include funding for equipment and assistive technology, system navigation and education. At the same time, we also invest in “tomorrow” by supporting research, which fosters advances in improving health outcomes and influencing positive change systemically.
About NMD4C
The Neuromuscular Disease Network for Canada (NMD4C) is a pan-Canadian network that brings together the country’s leading clinical, scientific, technical, and patient expertise to improve care, research, and collaboration in neuromuscular disease. Launched in January 2020 with funding from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and Muscular Dystrophy Canada (MDC). The mission of NMD4C is to improve the care, research and treatment of NMDs for all Canadians. Its vision is to be a comprehensive, inclusive, open and enduring network through which Canadian stakeholders can share expertise and data, and collaborate on joint activities and research for the benefit of Canadian patients.
About CSCN
The Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists (CSCN) was incorporated in 1990. Today, the CSCN has approximately 250 members and represents clinical neurophysiologists in Canada. The mission of CSCN is to promote and encourage all aspects of neurophysiology, including research and education in neurophysiology, as well as assessment and accreditation in the field of clinical neurophysiology; To provide for annual scientific sessions to promote the knowledge and practice of clinical neurophysiology.

In order to support the training of future Canadian leaders in neuromuscular care and electromyography, the Neuromuscular Disease Network for Canada (NMD4C), Muscular Dystrophy Canada (MDC), and Canadian Society of Clinical Neurophysiologists (CSCN) are pleased to announce three new national clinical fellowship grants in neuromuscular medicine and electromyography
Canadian citizens or permanent residents who have completed postgraduate training in adult or paediatric neurology or physiatry in a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada accredited program at the time of commencement of the fellowship (at least one Canadian citizen/permanent resident will be awarded funding). or International/Canadian applicants who have completed postgraduate training in adult or paediatric neurology or physiatry outside of Canada that have met the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada requirements, will be eligible if they have the support of the proposed Canadian fellowship training director.
