The Pediatric Dermatology Research Alliance (PeDRA) is a collaborative research network driven by the mission to create, inspire, and sustain research to prevent, treat, and cure childhood skin disease. Founded in 2012, PeDRA's core areas of activity include a centralized platform for multi-site collaborative research, education, events, and a robust grants and fellowships program. Since its inception, PeDRA has fostered a robust community of pediatric dermatology researchers and clinicians, bringing together experts across institutions and disciplines to address critical gaps in knowledge and care. Through its collaborative research groups ("Focused Study Groups"), mentorship initiatives, and other programs, PeDRA supports clinician scientists at every career stage from training onward in an effort to position them to conduct high-impact research that improves the lives of children and their families. PeDRA members represent a wide range of expertise in pediatric dermatology and related specialties across academic medical centers, healthcare systems, and research institutions. The organization has supported numerous research projects, career development opportunities, and collaborative initiatives that have advanced the field of pediatric dermatology and strengthened the pipeline of future clinician scientists.
