The mission of the Rheumatology Research Foundation is to advance research and training to improve the health of people with rheumatic diseases.
The purpose of this award is to increase the knowledge and skills of non-physician rheumatology health professionals to meet the needs of a growing rheumatology patient population by reimbursing the cost of registration for the Advanced Rheumatology Course. Award Amount: $1,999
All applications must be submitted by 5:00 PM ET on the deadline day through Proposal Central at: Proposal Central.
All award recipients must abide by Foundation Awards and Grants Policies at all times.
Review of Criteria
Applicants must submit all required application documents before the deadline. Applications will be reviewed based on all components of the proposal with emphasis being placed on the following criteria: 1. Applicant’s educational background and previous coursework 2. Applicant’s practice setting and relevance to the treatment of rheumatic disease All applicants will be notified within 3 weeks of the deadline, and all award payments will be made within 2 weeks receipt of required paperwork.
Award Terms and Funding
The awardee will have up to one year from the date of registration to complete the online program. The award amount is equal to the registration cost of the course chosen by the award recipient and will be paid directly to them in the form of a reimbursement pending receipt of course registration. This award can only be used to reimburse registration fees for the Adult, Pediatric or Combined track of the ARP

From one of the following sources:
From the applicant’s supervisor describing how they will support the applicant as well as the applicant’s employment setting and organizations patient population. – OR—
From a faculty member of the training institution who is an active member of the ARP describing their support for the candidate’s continuing education.
Applicants must meet citizenship and other eligibility requirements as outlined in the Awards and Grants Policies.
Applicants must be ARP members at the time of submission and for the award's duration.
Nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists, physical therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, psychologists, practice management staff, and other licensed non-physician health professionals with an interest in rheumatology are eligible for this award.
