EAU Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship

European Association of Urology

Knowledge shared is knowledge multiplied. Advance your knowledge, skills, and research in the field of genitourethral urological surgery at the top European institutions with the new EAU Reconstructive Surgery Fellowship.

About the fellowship

This Fellowship in Reconstructive Surgery is a 1-year clinical fellowship that can be done as a single-centre or a 2-centre experience. It aims to support upcoming and promising young urologists in advancing their knowledge, skills, and research in the field of genitourethral urological surgery with an emphasis of prosthetic procedures (penile implants and artificial urinary sphincters), urethral and transgender surgeries and penile reconstruction.

The current centres involved are:

  • University College of London Hospitals, UK  (Prof Ralph, Prof Greenwell)
  • Agaplesion Markus Krankenhaus Frankfurt, DE  (Dr Morgenstern)

The fellowship can be a 1-year experience at one centre or a 6-month experience at the 2 centres.

A plan will be proposed to all visiting fellows to reach the aims of the programme in a successful and stratified manner. Each candidate will receive a tutor (a member of the board of the EAU Section of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons), who checks on a regular basis to keep track of the progress. Upon completion of the programme, the participant will receive a certification with regard to the attendance of the scholarship programme by the hosting institution and the EAU/ EUSP.

Observer status can be for a shorter period with pro rata funding

The deadline for application is 1st June 2026.
