CARRA is funding up to 2 travel awards for Early Investigators and/or Fellows to attend the 33rd Annual Pediatric Rheumatology European Society (PReS) Congress, and the preconference meeting for young/early investigators in Belgrade, Serbia from September 15 through September 19, 2026. This opportunity is open to all CARRA US and Canadian Early Investigator and Fellow members. This is an outstanding meeting and a great chance to present your work and network.
The goals of this travel award are to:
1. Create collaboration between the CARRA Early Investigator group and the PReS Young Investigator group.
2. Give CARRA members an opportunity to give a scientific presentation (oral or poster) at an international meeting.
3. Allow CARRA members to attend the highly regarded Young Investigators Meeting on September 15-16.
4. Provide an opportunity for CARRA Early Investigators to network and collaborate with international colleagues.

Based on CARRA funding priorities and funded project patterns:
✔ Direct relevance to children’s outcomes is essential
✔ High success:
📌 Single-center studies are less competitive

✔ Projects influencing treatment strategies score higher

✔ Strong mentorship is critical
The applicant must be an Early Investigator or Fellow who is a current CARRA member in good standing and who is up to date on both membership dues and membership information (location, contact information, and membership status). CARRA Board of Directors and Executive Committee members are not eligible to apply.
Prior awardees are not eligible.
