General Area of Interest for this RFP:
Projects that will be considered for Pfizer support will focus on increasing healthcare professional understanding and competency in the use and management of BCMA BsAbs for the treatment of Relapsed/Refractory Multiple Myeloma, and may address one or more of the following areas:
• Sharing successful practice models (inclusive of both intra- and inter- practice models) for BCMA BsAb implementation including outpatient step-up dosing, identifying challenges and presenting effective solutions including coordination of care among multidisciplinary teams.
• Addressing educational gaps in the community oncology setting regarding initiation of care, guidance on the patient transition from academic to community setting, and assessment and management of adverse events in patients receiving BCMA BsAbs (i.e. CRS, ICANS, infection).
• Education on less frequently characterized BsAb AEs and management strategies.
• Understanding sequencing strategies in myeloma.
Equipping patients and their care partners with the necessary knowledge and resources for BCMA BsAb therapy.
• Understanding the comfort level of implementing BCMA BsAbs therapy management.
Examples of educational formats that will be considered under this RFP include but are not limited to:
• Creative educational initiatives with the potential for wide-reaching engagement.
• Education using online platforms with downloadable resources and reference tools for HCPs and/or patients.
• Professional medical society programs with wide reach to community oncologists caring for patients with RRMM.
• Interactive learnings, case-based learnings, workshops, tumor boards.
• Online articles, training courses, webinars.
• Social media posted & linked content.
• Videos, podcasts, infographics, animations.
Target Audience
Hematologists/oncologists, oncology nurses and nurse practitioners, physician associates, pharmacists, and any other healthcare professionals involved in the care of people with Relapsed/Refractory Multiple Myeloma.
Expected Approximate Monetary Range of Grant Applications
Individual projects requesting up to $125,000 will be considered. The funding of 2-3 proposals is anticipated.
• Award amounts include direct costs, institutional overhead costs (capped at 28% per Pfizer policy), and indirect costs.
