ADS Australasian Diabetes Congress Travel Grants

Australian Diabetes Society

The Australian Diabetes Society is now calling for applications for a number of awards available for ADS members attending the 2026 Australasian Diabetes Congress (ADC), which is being held as a joint event with the biennial International Diabetes Federation Western Pacific Region (IDF-WPR) Congress and the 2026 Metabolic Diseases (MBD) conference, at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in VIC from Tuesday 18th to Friday 21st August 2026.

For applicants to be considered and eligible for these awards, abstracts must be submitted by Monday, 16 March 2026 via the official congress website only.

Important to note that any applicants who submit a late-breaking abstract will be ineligible and will not be considered for any of the ADS Young Investigator Awards, ADS Poster Awards or the ADS Clinical Presentation Award in memory of Dr Paul Lee.

Eligibility Requirements

A financial member of the ADS for 12 months at the time of application
(must have joined as a member of ADS no later than March 2025 and paid membership fees to 30 June 2027)
Applicants must be an early career researcher
You must be available to present at the time of the poster session
Each applicant must provide a supporting statement including one signed by his/her supervisor or department head, indicating that the work presented is substantially the candidate’s own work
Previous winners of this award are in-eligible to apply
