The ADEA COSRF/Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals, Inc. Junior Faculty Award recognizes early-career faculty who are making meaningful contributions to academic dentistry through excellence in teaching, research and service.

Junior faculty represent a vital group of educators who help shape the future of oral health education. Their contributions are essential, yet underrecognized. This award acknowledges their accomplishments while elevating awareness of the importance of supporting early-career faculty.

Recipients are recognized by ADEA and its partners for their dedication, innovation and impact within their institutions and the broader academic community. The selected recipient receives a $2,500 award to support and enhance their teaching, research and service efforts and is recognized at the ADEA Annual Session & Exhibition.

Eligibility Requirements

An applicant must:

Hold a full-time faculty position with a primary teaching appointment in a predoctoral, allied or advanced dental educational program at an ADEA Member Institution;
Have no more than five years in their current faculty appointment;
Have no more than five years of experience in academia;
Be an ADEA Individual Member;
Demonstrate excellence in teaching, research and service; and
Demonstrate a commitment to supporting a positive and student-centered learning environment.
