About Us

The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute is the sole nonprofit organization created by President Reagan charged with continuing his legacy and sharing his principles – individual liberty, economic opportunity, global democracy and national pride. The Foundation is a non-partisan organization which sustains the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, CA, the Reagan Center for Public Affairs, the Presidential Learning Center, The Air Force One Pavilion, the award-winning Reagan Leadership Academy and the Reagan Institute, which carries out the Foundation’s mission in Washington, D.C. The Reagan Library houses over 55 million pages of Gubernatorial, Presidential and personal papers and over 60,000 gifts and artifacts chronicling the lives of Ronald and Nancy Reagan. It also serves as the final resting place of America’s 40th President and former First Lady Nancy Reagan

Eligibility Requirements

GE-Reagan Foundation Scholar candidates must:

Demonstrate at school, the workplace, and within the community the attributes of leadership, integrity, drive, and citizenship
Demonstrate strong academic performance (minimum 3.0 grade point average/4.0 scale or equivalent)
Be citizens of the United States of America
Be current high school seniors attending high school in the United States, or any of the U.S. territories and commonwealths, and graduating in winter 2023 or spring 2024. Homeschooled applicants and applicants living on a U.S. Armed Forces base and attending high school outside the U.S. are eligible.
Plan to enroll in a full‑time undergraduate course of study at an accredited four‑year college or university in the United States for the entire 2024-2025 academic year

Ineligible candidates include employees of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute, the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) who administer the Ronald Reagan Library, General Electric, and Scholarship America and their immediate families, as well as members of the GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program advisory committee and their immediate families, commercial customers of and suppliers to the General Electric Company and their immediate families, and employees of any affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute and the General Electric Company and their immediate families.
